Infection Control COVID-19 Precautions
The COVID-19 pandemic has completely changed peoples’ lives. Not only all the outdoor activities have come to a complete standstill, but people are also now afraid of going outside – even for medical or dental checkups – and rightly so. But there is nothing more important than your health and wellbeing. If you are one of those people who are wondering whether you should visit a dentist during the COVID-19 pandemic, then read on we have taken immense steps to ensure at most safety

SCREENING TEST
Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask you some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. The nurse or receptionist will take your temperature. Reception will be fitted with a safety screen and only one member of staff will be in reception at any one time.

SANITIZATION
Every individual, staff, or patient is sanitized every time they enter and exit from the clinic. We will ask you to use hand sanitizer when you enter the office. Our Staffs performs hand hygiene after every possible contact to ensure your safety

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PATIENTS ARRIVAL
Floor signs are introduced to ensure 2m social distancing except when you are in the treatment room. Wearing of masks; for visitors who may exhibit cough or illness will need to wear a mask and may be asked to wait in a separate room

DISINFECTING OF WAITING ROOM
We perform special cleaning with disinfectants at regular intervals. Our waiting areas, corridors and common areas are sprayed with sanitizer every day. You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines and children’s toys since these items are difficult to clean and disinfect. If you need a water cup you will need to ask the receptionist.

INBETWEEN PATIENTS
In addition to our already thorough infection prevention control measures we have added extra precautions throughout the day to ensure that all surfaces are regularly cleaned and disinfected.

HYGIENE INSTRUCTION FOR STAFF
You will notice that our practitioners will be wearing enhanced PPE which will vary according to the treatment involved but can include respirators, visors, goggles and fluid-repellent gowns. This provides maximum protection against cross-infection for you as well as the staff.
